Infuriating!

I was just watching Sunday Brunch and they were showing a product on there called 'mantyhose'. I'll give you 10 guesses as to what it was...

You've got it! Pantyhose for men AKA tights for men. Apparently they're really big in Japan and China. I'm not sure if that's true.

It's not that I have an issue with men wearing tights - okay it'd be a bit weird at first, but if they're comfortable I really don't care what someone wears. What I do have a problem with, however, is the labeling of such products.

It doesn't make the product anymore masculine to add 'man' to it. The 'guy' in 'guyliner' certainly doesn't scream manly to me. If you're male and you want to wear those products, do it. But for the love of God, STOP trying to make it sound more masculine than it is.

If 'guyliner' or 'mantyhose' were made differently to eyeliner or tights, I'd totally understand the whole thing - but they're not. So just quit it. I'd have so much more respect for a guy if they admitted they were eyeliner, instead of them trying to persuade me they were wearing guyliner and that it was somehow different to eyeliner.

It's not a new thing for men to wear eyeliner or nail varnish (which is another thing that people have tried to make manly), so why do people now feel the need to label it differently?

Johnny Depp's been spotted wearing it. Thousands of women still fancy him, so is it really something that needs to be spruced up and made 'manly'? No. Quit it. Just stop. Now.

Alphanail have produced a matte nail polish collection for men, because apparently that's more masculine. Newsflash; thousands of women wear matte nail polish. It's quite the thing. It's not any more or any less manly than a shiny polish. They've also named them things such as: "Burnin' Rubber"; "Smoke"; "Concrete"; "Cocaine"; and "Benjamins". Their metallic polishes have names like; "Pirate Gold" and "Gasoline".

I literally cannot put into words how much this annoys me. Seriously. It's the same product a woman would use. Stop trying to make people think otherwise.

I'm so annoyed I can't even think straight to write this properly...
